Claire a policewoman for Greater Manchester Police, was found fatally injured after a car crash on 7
May on Tottington Road, Harwood, Bolton.
Claire was a member of the Greater Manchester Police in Rochdale after recently completing her two
years as a student officer.
Claire, who lived near Bury, had already begun taking her sergeant's exams and was preparing to take
a degree.
Chief Supt John O’Hare said: “Claire was an exceptional officer and very well thought of by her
colleagues, superiors and by the community.
"Claire had been handpicked to undertake a challenging role as a community beat manager and she was
someone I had identified as an officer with the potential to go far.
“She had the potential to go a lot further within Greater Manchester Police. She was just taking
her sergeant’s exams and preparing to go on a degree course. It’s a very sad mood today at
Rochdale police station.”
